Anniversary cake

My father in law visited us. Before he came he called us and asked what we wanted to eat. My hubby said we already ordered chicken. My father in law said, he would pay for the chicken. My father in law asked if there's nothing that we wanted to eat. Hubby said he wanted to eat chocolate cake so my father in law brought this.

I dunno if he could understand what is written on it but I think the cute candies and marsmallows say all. Oh yes, my father in law gave us anniversary cake in advance. hehehe...Would you like some?

Hobakjuk (pumpkin porridge)

My mother in law was hospitalized because of her bad eyesight. When I knew about that, I went to the market even when it was only few minutes left before the closing time so I hurried and bought this condensed milk or else I would blame myself for going out and dined out with my co-workers.

We have pumpkin at home so I thought of making "hobakjuk" (pumpkin porridge) for my mother in law.

Here's how I made hobakjuk-

Ingredients: 2 slices of pumpkin and 1/2 cup condensed milk

Method:
1. Remove the skin and cut the pumpkin.
2. Boil for 30 minutes or until it is soft.
3. Put in a blender and mix with the condensed milk until it is smooth.
4. Cook and stir often for 20 minutes.

My hubby told me to put some flour but I chose not to because I want to make it more delicious. My mother in law doesn't like porridge but she ate some and she said that she was very grateful for making porridge for her.

Study online

I don't know if my boss was serious when he said that he wanted to go to school to study. I know it's hard for a businessman to go to school when he's always busy everyday that he even couldn't go out because there's always someone who is looking for him. One of my co-workers was there too and she said that she also wanted to do the same thing. One of their reasons are their kids are growing up so they need to teach them with their homework. And my boss also said that his knowledge is not enough to handle another business so he wants to improve his ability to reach his goal.

A person like him needs to study at Nouveau University. An online school for busy people who want to advance their career in their businesses. Nouveau University is a University which offers Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Real State Investment and Small Business Management.

Have you already decided of what University that you're going to attend? If you are a busy working professional who's looking for right online University, Nouveau University is the best for you. An online education which is affordable, credible, rigorous, diverse, and convenient.

Raw fish (sashimi)

After taking a walk for more than 40 minutes, my hubby felt hungry. As soon as we arrived home, he took the booklet, dialed the phone and ordered this.

Even if I didn't hear him talking on the phone and heard what he ordered, I already expected that he would order raw fish because we passed to many seafood restaurants on our way home. Raw fish (sashimi) is delicious in cold weather and we can't eat it in summer so when it gets cold, my hubby enjoys himself eating raw fish and some sea creatures. Of course I join him.

Straw on your coffee

I went for a walked last night and we did it again today. We walked for almost an hour and on our way home, we saw a coffee shop. Nokcha Latte (Greentea Latte) for only $3 was written on the menu outside. When I ordered a cup of coffee, the waiter charged me 4.5 bucks. He said the price list outside was long time ago. Holy Cow! They should have changed it if they raised the price. Is it their way of getting some customers? I hope I wasn't the only one who complained about that price list.

Btw, don't be surprised when you take out caffe latte, cappuccino or any hot coffee that comes out with straw. Straw is used here with any hot coffee from famous coffee shops like Kenya, Holly's, etc...

Straw on your coffee? That's okay! People won't laugh at you, don't worry!

My adventures

You know how much I love adventure. I usually go camping on weekends with my hubby. We travel long hours to visit mountains and forests and sleep there for a night. We always have much load to carry when we go out. We were satisfied of our 3 years old car but because of our adventure we are planning to buy a bigger one. A Freelander where we can climb up the mountain easily and put all of our things for a camp.

There's also a program on tv that I love to watch. It's about the travel of people to some countries like Tibet, Mongol, and Africa. They climb up the mountain or go to the desert with a car. I like their adventures that's why I always dream of buying a Land Rover to use for my adventure. Who doesn't dream of having this roomy, nicely finished, well equipped and supremely capable off-road Freelander?

I always think of the famous adventure movies when I see a Freelander. It looks good and strong which is just the perfect car for adventure. I can't wait to use a Freelander for my adventures.

Jujubes (taechu) tree

Jujubes are one of the ingredients in some of my recipe like Yonggyebaeksuk (Spring Chicken Soup) and Twaejigalbichim (Pork Rib Stew). Jujubes (taechu) are similar to dates, usually use dried for cooking or medicinal purposes. They should be soaked before cooking.

I saw this jujube tree when we had megitang which is planted behind the restaurant.

I like jujubes and I eat them even when they are not dried. I used to put jujubes in our drinking water. I boiled some water and put some jujubes on it. My in laws recommended me to use them instead of green tea because they are good for our health but they are too expensive and we have much green tea at home so I switched back to green tea. But this winter, I'm planning to put jujubes again to avoid the cold and runny nose in cold weather.

Brochure printing

It was halloween yesterday and we had to cover all the windows. We didn't have enough paper to cover them so we used the pamphlet that they distribute for the people. My boss complained because he said they were expensive. In order for my boss to feel better, I will recommend this cheap brochure printing to him. My boss can save much using the conquest graphics because it is a brochure printing company where we can get much discount. I'm sure he won't complain anymore even when we use again the brochures next halloween.
