Cappuccino Coffee with Chocolate Syrup

I've just noticed that my hubby often asked some coffee now a days. He didn't use to like coffee but now he usually asked coffee when he's at home. So when I went to the market, I thought of him so I bought this hazelnut flavor cappuccino coffee and chocolate syrup.

When I came home, I made some coffee for him and pour some chocolate syrup. Hmmm..Yummy!

I also bought some bananas. I don't like banana much so I thought of putting syrup and I think I will start to like bananas because of the chocolate syrup. It's a good snack specially for kids. No need to cook and it's healthy.

Are eggs good for our health?

Are eggs good for our health? What can eggs give to our body? Cholesterol? Strength? Pimples? Smelly Fart? Anything else? Whatever! I just wanna say that I love eggs. Do you? I don't know when it started but I eat at least 3 eggs everyday. My mother in law told me that I have to serve eggs every meal because it can give us strength the whole day at work. Does it make sense? Even whe she won't say that, I really like fried eggs specially in the morning. Oooppsss... Pardon me! I don't have breakfast because I get up late but eating in the afternoon is like having breakfast.

I can eat 3 fried eggs and sunny side up is my favorite. I also bring egg sandwich to work. I just toast bread, spread jam and put an egg. Very simple isn't it? But I have noticed that my pimples appeared since I started to eat lots of eggs. Do my pimples have connection with the eggs? Well then, I hope I can slow down with eggs.

Oh, by the way. I usually buy a tray of eggs every weekend. A tray has 30 eggs and me and my hubby can eat them in a week. Are we egg-lovers?

Black Raspberry Vinegar Juice

Whenever my mother in law visits us, she doesn't come with empty hands. She always brings something for us. The last time that she came here, she brought this Bogbunja (Black Raspberry) vinegar juice.

We have to mix the juice with water 5-6 times the amount of juice. It is sour like vinegar but it is made of black raspberry so it's much more delicious than just a vinegar. My mother in law said it's good for our health. Whatever my mother in law thinks or heard that something is good for the health, then she buys and gives us. That's mother's love, I think.

The juice is good when we have a sore throat and it is drunk with either hot or cold water so it is good in all seasons. I drink it with hot water but my hubby prefer to drink it cold.

Nuts for our health and mind

While I was watching tv, I saw another program about the woman who had a cancer and now feeling well because of the food that she eats. The doctor told her that she only had less than a year to live but she survived. In the morning she eats fresh vegetables and fruits. She doesn't have much rice. What is important is eating fresh food and nuts. She eats nuts everyday specially walnuts. She has sacks of walnuts at home that she buys fresh from the county. She eats them as snacks, she grinds them to make salad dressing, she makes juice and a lots of recipe that she make with nuts. Since then I also bought lots of mixed nuts. I bought at least 3 packs of mixed nuts every weekend. In the pack are cashew, almonds, walnuts, and peanuts. We eat some everyday and we've done that for almost a month. Then one day, there were some red spots appeared in my hubby's body. Then he started to itch. His whole body was covered by red spots so he said he had an allergy. I've never seen him like that before. I even didn't know where he got those allergy then he said when he was young, he was allergic with peanuts. Oh gosh, I started to panic but he said he was okay. I told him to change all of his clothes and I also changed the bed cover, pillows, and blankets.

Luckily, he doesn't have them on his face so he went to work the next day. I felt better when I saw him back at home because he looked better or else I would force him to go to the hospital. Thanks God because his allergies were totally gone the next morning.

I still have some mixed nuts but I'm afraid to eat them even when they said they are good for our health. Well, if you don't have allergic with peanuts, then you should eat at least 7 pieces of nuts everyday. They are good for our health specially for our mind. They observed that a student who had a bad grades at school started to exercise and eat nuts everyday so she got a high grades. She said, it's easy to remember what she studied since she started to eat peanuts. Well, I think it will also work for you and for your kids.

Constipation

Koreans like hot and spicy food so it's not surprising then if some of them are having trouble when they go to the bathroom. They suffer with constipation. Others including young generations have some stomach disease that can cause cancer. I guess it's because of the food that they intake.

According to wikipedia, Constipation, costiveness, or irregularity, is a condition of the digestive system in which a person (or animal) experiences hard feces that are difficult to expel. In Korean it is called Byeonbi. I watched too much tv and I sometimes get some issue about health. I found out that long time ago in Korea, when people have constipation, they cooked honey and make a round shape and put in the anus or dip dodeog in oil and push it gently to the anus. Ouch! The Korean Traditional doctor said it's true but dangerous if you don't know how to do it. So don't do it if your not an expert or else your disease will get more serious.

To heal constipation, eat enough fruits and vegetables everyday. Drink a lot of water and do some exercise. I heard bananas and plums are also good for constipation. Or try this tomato milkshake or fruits and vegetables milkshake that I make for our breakfast.

They are fresh and eaten raw

I always get some groceries at the mart and I've never been to the wet market. I trust the products specially the fish and vegetables because of the big sign in front of each shops telling that the food is all fresh. If you'll check out the date, everything were all pack on each day. The fish vendors always say that the fish were just caught in the morning which I really believed and trusted. But after watching the program on tv, I found out that most of them are just liar. They just change the pack and change the expiration date if they couldn't sell it on that day. They do it everyday until they could sell all even if it takes for a month. That's terrible!

When you buy something in the mart, they even say that you can eat them raw because they have just come in the morning. Among the more than 30 shops that have been tested, most of them if not all are doing the same thing. They even said that customers will just have a stomachache but will never die. Uh oh! Because of that, I never trusted the food in the mart so I'm lazy to buy something. Now my refrigerator is almost empty. I haven't gone to the mart for two weeks now and we have nothing in the refrigerator except different kinds of kimchi that my mother in law gave me.

Strawberry milk for my breasts

Do you remember my post here? The next day I bought strawberry milk. I dunno if there's connection with my monthly period but everytime I drink some strawberry milk, i felt that my breast were getting big. Or maybe that's just my imagination, so I felt they really were.

I asked hubby if he knew why I bought strawberry milk. He said because I just wanted to drink milk. He laughed at me when I said the real reason of buying them. I said I saw on tv that strawberry milk can help enhance our breast. After drinking these 3 cartons of milk, I don't know if I still need to buy because I'm afraid that instead of getting my breast big, my body will get big. hehe...

Hmmmm...anyway, it's good for our health although it can't make my breasts big, at least I can stay fit. What do you think?

Melamin (Melamine)

Because of Melamin (Melamine) that were found to be added to watered-down milk to boost its apparent protein content, many food companies specially China use this chemical. In China, the compromised dairy products are blamed for sickening 54,000 children.

Since I knew about this melamine I'm now very careful in buying some food products. I always look at the ingredients and aware of this made in China that is found on food which takes me longer time to stay in the market when I shop for food.

Melamine is described as being "Harmful if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. Chronic exposure may cause cancer or reproductive damage. Eye, skin and respiratory irritant.”

And now to make sure that we buy healthy products specially children, they are now going to put green stamp for every safe snacks. I salute this idea! Thumbs Up!

Drinking Vinegar

Can you guess what they are?

Oh well, they are drinking vinegar that I got as a present like Chuseok. If you go to the market, you'll see this drink that the saleslady always endorse and asks the customers to have a taste of this healthy drink.

The taste is not bad but a little bit sour. And that's the vinegar in Pomegranate, blackberry and blueberry flavor. Want some?

It's another mistake

I just want to say that I made a mistake in making the soup last night. Oh yes, it's another mistake. It was my first time to do it and as usual I failed again. I prepared it for almost an hour because i'm trying to get the exact taste of the soup but I always put some ingredients and I didn't know how to balance the ingredient. Well, the taste is not the same as what I have eaten in the restaurants or in my in-laws house.

It's summer and the weather is too hot so I need to prepare cold soup. My hubby already came from work but I was still preparing for the food and he saw the ingredients on the table and I looked very busy so he asked me what kind of delicious food i was preparing. Maybe, he expected so much. As soon as I served him the soup, he tasted it and smiled. He said it was delicious but he never touched it after that one spoon that he put in his mouth. hehehe...

After dinner, he told me to put some more water and vinegar. After washing the dishes, I started to make the soup again. I hope it will pass in his taste. Let's see what is gonna be happened tomorrow. Do you think he will like it? I'm so excited to know the result! hahaha...

green tea

Koreans never drink tap water. We have to boil some water and put something on it. I sometimes put dried corn and jujubes but usually, i put green tea. My mother in law sometimes put wheat or tree barks which sometimes she gives us some. She always says that it's good for our health.

My hubby's aunt gave this green tea when we visited her on her birthday. She said it's real and pure green tea from her farm. She sells them but gave us for free of course. You don't believe me if I say that I just sprinkle a little amount of it when i boil water in a big kettle but the water looks dark and tastes green tea.

Just imagine how much i spend for buying green tea, jujubes or dried corn if aunt didn't give us this tea. We drink much water a day. It's true that i boil water everyday in a big kettle.

Well, thanks to aunt.

kelp (dasima)

Koreans are very aware of their health but i think everyone does but sometimes we are not careful with the food that we eat. Speaking of good health, me and hubby always eat kelp (seaweeds) after meal.

Just wash it very well, soak in the water for a few minutes and it will turn like this.

We love watching a tv program wherein they show the food that our body needs and gives nutrition to our body. One of these is kelp. At first, I couldn't eat it without chogochujang sauce because i imagine eating lady's finger (okra) but i get used to eat and now, i eat it even without sauce.
